Carrie Jean's Horse Ranch

A good horse is never a bad color ... with us you get both!

Meet the rest of herd at CJH Ranch!

Frog - DOB: 7/10/2000

My personal riding horse. My passion for massive equine athletes started with her! She may be short legged, but she is a tank at 1320 pounds! Barrels, poles, western pleasure, endurance racing, trail competitions, working cattle, roping, road rides, wagon trains, we have tried it all!

Tadpole - DOB: 12/5/11 (out of Chief & Frog)

This lovely young lady was an unplanned, unexpected, and truthfully unwanted breeding that has become the center of my mother's equine devotion! She looks, moves, and acts just as her grandmother did (we lost her to colic many years ago, she was my mother's personal riding horse). She is simply what we have been missing!

Jezabell - DOB: 4/2000

This gal was supposed to be just passing through. I guess it was just meant to be, we now have a mini! My youngest son has claimed her as his own best friend and is never letting go. She had no prior training to speak of so I spent a few weeks with her and that is all it took. She now serves as a riding, driving, pulling, companion, everything goes kind of pony! At 31" she is the biggest contribution my family could ask for!

Lady Bug

Toad - DOB: 6/4/2001

The first horse I trained completely on my own. He rides and drives single or double. He is as close to perfect as you can find for an all around family horse. This husky lil guy has been a rock for my children.

Bullet - 9/2002

This attractive boy started out as one of those 'free' horses. A great mistake! He took a lot of building blocks but in the end he is just fantastic. He can be ridden and driven by anybody. Beauty in a chestnut wrapper! He is just amazing to be around and his gaits flow like wind through the grass.

Ninja - DOB: 5/1/2015   (out of Chief & Frog)

Ninja is going to be taking over the heavy lifting for his mother in a few years. This is my future partner in crime....Look out cows, here we come!
